Gabriel Longshaw
I’m a Christian and enjoy web development. I have a passion for using technology to serve God. I’m currently working on a website called The Gospel, a project dedicated to spreading the good news of Jesus Christ.
Below, there is a list of some of my skills and a collection of featured projects – tap on any project to learn more.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
Contribute & Collaborate
I’m always open to collaborating with others, especially those interested in helping develop The Gospel website or contributing to my other projects.
-
The Gospel Website
You can contribute to this by helping with the content, pages and design.
-
Connect Four Game
Contribute to this through helping implement features such as a new bot game mode (easy, medium, hard) that I would like to add and fix glitches.
If you're interested in helping develop these or any of my other projects, feel free to connect via the links below!
What I Believe
My faith isn't just a label; it’s the foundation of my life. I believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and that the Gospel is the best news anyone can hear.
Because of this, I try to use my technical skills to glorify God. Even if a project isn't directly related to God, I like to add verses into that project. Whether it's building a project to spread The Gospel or just a fun project, I want my work to point back to God and be a testimony of His love and grace.
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16
Hosting & Open Source
I usually make my projects open-source and keep repositories on GitHub public. I host almost all of my projects on GitHub and keep the source code public so others can learn from it or contribute.
-
Project Hosting
Most of my websites are hosted by GitHub Pages. It’s a great way to keep everything in one place and manage updates directly through my repositories and it's free.
-
Privacy & Protection
While I usually keep code open source, I keep the source code for this website private. To protect the original design and hard work, some files here are minified or obfuscated to prevent people copying.
